Not much blogging lately. Why's that? Well, been waking up 3 or 4am, going all day, until 9 or 10pm.
Driving the hour commute each way isn't that bad, gives me time to smoke cigars and thing about things.
So I haven't had much time for social media. In fact, I've gone the entire week without opening Twitter one time.
So what have I been working on? Completing the last 10% of the project. Getting the production environment set up, which required an installation of SQL Server 2012, including Integration Services, so that SSISDB could be created, so the SSIS packages could be uploaded, and created a Proxy account to run the job from SQL Agent, and set up a job to run during the night. Then pointed the Production SharePoint Data Connection to the new Production SQL Server database, and that's a wrap.
At the end of the day today, spoke with the Project Manager and Owner of the company at the Client, and it was determined for me to work tomorrow for an hour or so to fix 5+ hyperlinks in prod, see if the jobs ran and that's about it.
Then I'll be back on-site for the go-live Sept. 29 for a week, and phase 2 of the reports.
The life of a consultant, exhausting but rewarding.
And so it goes~!
